Bacolod City to open lying-in clinic
Bacolod City (22 January) -- City Mayor Evelio Leonardia announced that the lying-in clinic will soon be set up for the Bacoleños, which is one of his priority projects this year.
Leonardia said that the lying-in clinic will help decongest the Western Visayas Regional Hospital and will help, most of all, the less privileged residents.
The mayor said the clinic will be housed in the building vacated by the Civil Registrar’s Office at the City Health Office Compound.
It will be supervised by the Bacolod City Health Office and will be operated by a private hospital.
Based on a study conducted by Bacolod City, it will be more practical for the local government and its constituents, to put up a lying-in clinic that will precede the construction of a city hospital. (PIA/cad) [top]
