NVizcaya officials give aid to upland villagers

Ambaguio, Nueva Vizcaya (January 26) -- More than 300 villagers in this town received packages of assistance from provincial government officials under the extended "Pamaskong Handog", a yearly gift giving project for the poor.
The activity, sponsored by the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Employees Association(NVPEA) and the Association of Provincial Executives (APEX) was highlighted by distribution of gift packs, containing basic commodities, coconut seedlings, free medicines, animal vaccination and medical and dental services.
The recipient villagers came from barangays Dulli, Napo, Ammueg, Wangwang, Camandag, Poblacion, Salingsingan and Tiblac.
A yearly activity, the "Pamaskong Handog" project seeks to provide various assistance to indigent communities in the province as identified by the NVPEA and APEX members.
Proponents said the project also serves as a venue in bringing government services closer to the communities specially in remote and upland areas. (PIA NVizcya) [top]
