JICA visits asphalt batching plant in Tagum

Davao City (2 February) -- Together with the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) composing 35 delegates headed by Infrastructure Development Expert Clovis Ike J. Payumo visited Tagum City to take a glimpse of Asphalting Batching at the Motorpool of the City Government on January 28, 2010.

The visit is in line with the second year implementation of the technical assistance called "ARMM Human Capacity Development Project" (AHCDP) for the senior officers of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH ARMM).

One of the major components of the undertaking is the Infrastructure Development which intends to capacitate the DPWH ARMM engineers in the field of Infrastructure Construction Management. During their visit, Engineer IV Roosvelt Corporal from the City Government employee in the Asphalting section gives a Technical Briefing and Demonstration on Actual Asphalt Batching Processes and Procedures.
