PNP to usher unity fun run for honest, orderly and peaceful elections

Catbalogan City (2 February) -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) invites all interested citizens to join the Unity Fun Run for an honest orderly and peaceful elections.
During a meeting of the Samar Partnership for Peace and Development SPPADE) today, February 2, 2010 at the PNP Conference Room, PNP Deputy Regional Director for Operations Jess Gatchalian announced to SPPADE members.
The Unity Fun Run will be done on February 11 in Catbalogan City, the high ranking official added.
PNP Provincial Director Pancho Adelberto Hubilla enticed the civil society, the academe, the media and other well meaning citizens to show their desire for a peaceful election by joining the Unity Fun Run.
The fun run also dubbed in Tagalog as takbo para sa matapat, maayos at mapayapang eleksyon will be attended by no less than the Chief PNP said Gatchalian.
The highlight of the activity will be the signing of a covenant for the same purpose.
The SPPADE meeting was attended by 8th Infantry Division Commander Arthur Tabaquero, PNP Provincial Director Hubilla, Ms Charo Cabardo a local writer and historian, members of non government organizations, and the Social Action Center Chief of the Calbayog Diocese Fr.
