Tagalog News: Malakanyang pinapahanap na ang mga illegal na cellphone signal jamming devices

Manila (4 February) -- Inutos na kahapon ni Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo na hanapin ang mga cellphone signal jamming devices bunsod na rin sa napapabalitang mahigit limang libong cellphone signal jamming devices na iligal na naipuslit sa bansa.

Ayon kay Executive Secretary Ermita, kumikilos na ngayon ang Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) at ang Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT) upang matunton ang mga signal jamming device na maaring gamitin para isabotahe ang halalan sa Mayo 10.

Maaari umanong magamit cellphone signal jammer upang harangin ang transmission ng precinct count optical scan (PCOS) machine sa resulta ng botohan sa kauna-unahang computerized election sa bansa.

Samantala, sinalakay kahapon ng mga tauhan ng National Telecommunication Commission (NTC) ang isang tindahan sa Sta. Cruz, Manila na iligal na nagtitinda ng cellphone signal jamming device.

Nabatid ng mga otoridad na nakapagbenta ng apat na jamming device ang tindahan noong Martes. (PIA 12) [top]
