Tagalog News: Mock elections isasagawa ng Comelec sa Sabado

Manila (4 February) -- Nakatakdang isagawa ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang mock elections sa siyam na public schools sa bansa sa Sabado, Pebrero 6. Ang pagsasagawa ng mock elections ay may kaugnayan pa rin sa mga ginagawang paghahanda para sa halalan sa Mayo 10.

Ayon kay Comelec Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal, nakatuon ang isasagawang mock elections sa simulation ngp roseso ng botohan, counting, canvassing, at transmission ng election results.

Ang dry-run test ay naglalayon din daw na masubok ang kapasidad at kakayahan ng PCOS machines na gagamitin sa May 2010 elections.

Ang una sa serye ng mock elections ay isasagawa sa Quezon City at Taguig sa NCR, Baguio City para sa Luzon, at Cebu City para sa Visayas at Davao para sa Mindanao

Dagdag pa ni Larrazabal, may kabuuang 6,909 na rehistradong botante ang inimbitahan ng Comelec para sumali sa nasabing mock elections.

Magsisimula ang botohan gamit ang test ballots ng alas 7 ng umaga saSabado. (PIA 12) [top]
