PIA Press Release

PRC outreach program in Kalinga set on February 13

Tabuk City, Kalinga (6 February) -- Officials from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Regional Office will be coming to Kalinga for an outreach program on February 13, Saturday, as part the 15th Kalinga Day activities.

According to Kalinga Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager Geronimo Donaal, PRC will conduct processing of applicants for board examination particularly for nurses, midwives and criminologists, and renewal and release of PRC cards during the one-day event.

"Through the partnership of the Provincial Government and the City Government of Tabuk, this employment service will be conducted simultaneous with a provincial jobs' fair to facilitate the employment needs of our people," he said.

The conduct of PRC outreach in the province will not only bring the agency in Kalinga but this is also advantageous for the new board passers from the province in cutting down their travel expenses and time in applying for license outside the Kalinga, Donaal said.

For those aspiring to take licensure examinations, applicants must bring with them the needed documents for better facilitation.

He also he advised job seekers to bring with them the needed requirements photocopied in several copies to take advantage of the presence of some 10 POEA accredited recruitment agencies that will be participating in the jobs fair.

Said employment facilitation services he said is a continuous program of the Provincial Government and City Government of Tabuk in support to President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's efforts to generate jobs as a strategy to help the country cope with the economic crisis through a more productive citizenry.
