LTO-2 unveils Citizen Charter
Tuguegarao City (10 February) -- The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 2 has finally unveiled to the public its citizen's charter in response to Anti-Red Tape Act.
The LTO is one among the government agencies who gives frontline services that cater to hundreds of client everyday. It is also known as one among agencies who posted negative satisfaction rating from the public due to some observed irregularities in implementing its policies such as the fixers and corruption.
Now, through the citizen's charter, Dir. Edgar Cabase, Chief of the Traffic and Adjudication Service, the negative impressions to LTO will be eliminated. "All tasks will be accomplished in a fast and efficient manner, he assured.
Cabase said the citizen's charter is based on LTO vision of establishing a well-developed transportation system that will play a vital role in improving the lives of the Filipino people.
In the charter, it is indicated that licenses can be released in just a few minutes and so to other transactions.
Cabase also explained that through the charter, problems on corruption and fixers can be eliminated because the transacting public is now aware of the steps that they will undergo. The required documents and the payment will also be displayed to their offices.
Meanwhile, Regional Director Romeo Maglanque stated confidence that they can implement the provisions indicated in the charter for the transformation LTO's image into positive one. (Oliver B./PIA 2) [top]
