NVizcaya PNP nets 11 gunban violators

Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya (February 10) -- At least 11 violators of the Gun Ban law imposed by the Commission on Elections(COMELEC) have been recorded by the Philippine National Police here since the law started in January 10.

Police Senior Supt. Pedro Danguilan, police provincial director said the figure represents 2 carriers of firearms and ammuniltions and 9 civilians possessing bladed weapons.

"These arrests came with our daily conduct of 139 check points since the start of the gun ban in the country," Danguilan said.

Police report identified Lorenzo Abbac, 50 of barangay Papaya in Kasibu town, Police Officer 1 Noel dela Cueva, 27 of barangay San Geronimo and assigned in Dupax del Sur town police station and Joel Ramos, 39 of barangay Tuao South in Bagabag town and a security guard of Arem Security Agency as gun ban violators possessing 9 mm,.45 caliber pistols and.38 ammunitions respectively.

The other violators, the report showed were Danilo Sagun, 40 of barangay Quezon in Solano town, Reginaldo Madaya, Cayetano Capan and Ericson Ortiz, tricycle drivers of barangay Malasin in Dupax del Norte town, Mark Garcia, 22 of barangay Maddiangat in Quezon town, Gilbert Bahni 22 of barangay Quirino and Tom Bulahon, 30 of barangay Roxas, both of Solano town.

The gun ban violators have been filed with corresponding cases before various courts in the province. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
