In an advisory sent to PIA, GSIS Maasin Satellite Office informed that even if the expiry date in the GSIS eCARD Plus that is found at the bottom of the card has already lapsed, the said card can still be used for G-W@APS Kiosk transactions such as GSIS loan applications and renewal of active status.

Those eCARD Plus that has dates which already expired cannot be used only in transactions using debit card feature, where a cardholder wish to transact or purchase at any Automated Teller Machine (ATM) establishments using the GSIS card.

The report said that all members and pensioners can also use the eCARD Plus for ATM transactions in any of the 6,000 automated teller machines nationwide.

Furthermore, eCARD Plus is also accepted in any Union Bank branch for over-the-counter banking needs. Pensioners and members of GSIS abroad can also withdraw cash using ay ATM with the Plus network sign, the source further reported. (PIA-soleyte) [top]
