Tagalog News: PGMA susuriin ang Clark airport expansion

Manila (11 February) -- Susuriin ni Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo ngayong araw ang P308-million Phase 1 expansion project ng Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) Terminal 1 sa Clark, Pampanga na inaasahang matatapos sa buwan ng Marso ng kasalukuyang taon.

Ilalahad ng mga opisyales ng Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) sa pangunguna ni president at CEO Victor Jose Luciano sa Pangulo ang mga developments sa DMIA lalung-lalo na ang ongoing expansion ng DMIA Terminal 1 na kayang mag-accommodate ng karagdagang kalahating milyong pasahero taun-taon at inaasahang makapagsasakay ng hanggang dalawang milyong pasahero taun-taon.

Ang terminal expansion phase 1 project ay isang two-storey building na nagkakahalaga ng P308,880,000. Tampok dito ang dalawang aero bridges, flight information display, close circuit television, background music, public address system, x-ray machines, escalators at elevators. Meron din itong karagdagang immigration counters, airline offices, concessionaire area at limang airline ticketing offices at baggage conveyors.

Tinaguriang premier international gateway ng bansa ang DMIA bilang bahagi ng adhikain ng Pangulo na gawing sentro para sa logistics at services ang bansa sa Asia Pacific Region.
