EU, XU hold climate change forum

Cagayan de Oro City (11 February) -- In line with the recent global concern on climate change, Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan and the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to the Philippines will be conducting a forum on "Climate Change Adaptation Strategies and European Union Initiatives" on February 16, 8 AM at Little Theater, Xavier University.
The forum intends to increase understanding of environment advocates of the different climate change adaptation strategies in the country and the latest policy actions in EU. Diverse sectors from the government, business, civil society, non-government organizations and the academe are highly encouraged to attend and participate in this activity.
Prior to the forum proper, everyone is also invited to attend the opening of the exhibition "Fighting Climate Change" which will be held at XU-STC Lobby. This is mounted by the Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines, the Philippine Center for Photojournalism and XU-Ateneo de Cagayan.
Another seminar will be held in the afternoon at 2pm on "Advancing Citizen's Rights Via Political Education" also at the Little Theater of Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan on the 16 Feb. 16.
