Tagalog News: Manila-based diplomats pinulong hinggil sa nalalapit na SNAMMM sa Maynila

Manila (12 February) -- Ipinagbigay-alam ng Department of Foreign Affairs sa diplomatic corps na nakabase sa Manila ang nalalapit na Special Non-Aligned Movement Ministerial Meeting on Interfaith Dialogue and Cooperation for Peace and Development (SNAMMM) na gaganapin sa Marso 16 hanggang 18 sa pangunguna ng DFA Undersecretary for Special Concerns.

Ang pagpupulong ay gaganapin sa Philippine International Convention Center at sisimulan ang Senior Officials' Meeting kasabay ng international workshop ng faith-based groups at civil society sa Marso 16. Susundan ito ng dalawang araw na pagpupulong ng NAM Foreign Ministers.

Ayon kay DFA Undersecretary Rafael Seguis, inaasahang dadalo sa nasabing pagpupulong ang mga ministers, senior officials, religious leaders, NGOs at mga miyembro ng international media mula sa isang daan-labing-walong NAM member countries kasama na ang PIlipinas, labing-walong NAM observer countries, at sampung NAM observer organizations bilang pagsuporta sa advocacy ng interfaith dialogue upang itaguyod ang katahimikan at kaunlaran sa buong mundo.

Lalahok din sa pagpupulong ang mga diplomat mula sa embahada ng Indonesia, Cuba at Egypt.

Dadalo rin sa pagpupulong sina Maria Isabel Tobias, Secretary General ng Presidential Council for Values Formation at ng Presidential Commission on Interfaith Initiatives; Bishop Efraim Tendero ng Philippine Council on Evangelical Churches; Ambassador Victoria Bataclan, Deputy Secretary General ng NAM-NOC; DFA Undersecretary Rafael Seguis, Secretary General ng NAM-NOC; DFA Assistant Secretary Leslie Gatan, Assistant Secretary General for Substantive Matters; at Ambassador Domingo Lucenario, Jr., Assistant Secretary General for Administrative Matters.
