Cagayan gov unveils new GSP logo
Iguig, Cagayan (16 February) -- Governor Alvaro "Bong" T. Antonio and Katherine Ann Charcos have unveiled the new logo of the Girl Scout of the Philippines during the opening of the 2010 Provincial encampment from January 28-30, 2010 at Camp Amparito here.
The logo has three loops which formed the trefoil, symbolizing the three parts of the Girl Scout Promise: to serve God and my trefoil country; to help people at all times; to live by the Girl Scout Law.
The three stars represent the three major islands of the Philippines, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The circle represents the Girl Guides and Girl Scouts worldwide.
The new GSP logo was launched during the National Council Convention on May 26, 2009 in Tagbilaran City, highlighting the 69th Anniversary of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines. (PIA 2) [top]
