PNP Region 3 honors outstanding personnel, units, groups and civilians

San Fernando City, Pampanga (18 February) -- Philippine National Police Region 3 honored during their 19th Anniversary Celebration its personnel and units who were exemplary in their line of duty as well as individuals and civil society groups that are reliable partners of the police force.

Directorate for Integrated Police Operations Northern Luzon Director Eric Q. Javier, with the assistance of PNP Region 3 Director PCSupt. Leon Nilo A. Dela Cruz, conferred the awards.

The Province of Nueva Ecija bagged the most awards in the Model Transformation Program category.

It was named Model Provincial Police Office, Model Rural Police Station (for Sta. Rosa town), Model Provincial Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD), Model Urban WCPD (for San Jose City)

Other awardees are: Olongapo City Police Office as Model City Police Office, Regional Intelligence Unit 3 as Model National Operational Support Unit, Regional Legal Service 3 as Model National Administrative Support Unit, 303rd Provincial Public Safety Management Company-Bataan as Model Provincial Maneuver Unit, Olongapo City Public Safety Management Company as Model City Maneuver Unit, Tarlac City Police Station as Model Urban Police Station and Dinalupihan (in Bataan) WCPD as Model Rural WCPD.

On the other hand, individual citations were given to PSupt. Homer Penecilla of Apalit Pampanga as Lead PNP awardee, PSupt. Ervin Gumban of Regional Investigation Detection Management Division as Staff Officer of the year, PSupt. David Poklay of Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Branch as Senior Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) in the Field of Operation, PSupt. Sidney Villaflor of San Jose City as Senior PCO in the field of administration, PSInsp. Elmer Santiago of Bataan Provincial Intelligence Branch as Junior PCO of the Year in the Field of Operation, PInsp. Dennis Orbista of Bataan Public Information Office as Junior PCO of the year in the Field of Administration, SPO4 Rommel Apuan of San Fernando Pampanga as Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCO) of the Year, PO2 Famela Suba of Nueva Ecija as Junior PNCO of the year and NUP Nelson Oliveros Centeno as Non-Uniformed Personnel of the Year.

Special awards were also handed out to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Priest Rev. Msgr. Eugenio Mercado, Olongapo City Mayor James Gordon, Gapan City Mayor Ernesto Natividad, MSC Construction President/CEO Manuel Cruz, Tropang Crime Watch (Angeles City) President Reynaldo Malig, Barangay San Vicente (Bamban, Tarlac) Chairman Danilo Adrias, San Fernando Pampanga Traffic Enforcer Nick David, PNP Special Action Force, Camp Olivas Press Society (COPS), Barangay Sta. Rita (in Olongapo City) Peacekeeping Action Team, Unilever Philippines, Lions Club 301-D2 (Bataan Chapter) and Kabalikat Civicom (San Antonio, Nueva Ecija Chapter).
