Culaling said this year, the DOLE will conduct a pre-qualifying exams to all SPES applicants which will be conducted by DOLE personnel only. It will be conducted in the different municipalities between March and April before the start of the Summer Job.

The qualifying exam is composed of two parts namely, the English Language Proficiency and the Quantitative Analysis and Numerical Reasoning. This is administered to provide equal opportunities to all interested applicants for the program and remove discriminatory selection of SPES beneficiaries; inculcate and advocate the value of competition among the youth.

The results of the exams shall be arranged by score from highest to lowest. This shall be the basis of the final selection of the LGU/employers, especially if there are more applicants than the available SPES slots. Selection shall be done through ranking method. (PIA-MP) [top]
