Medical-dental mission benefits Matungao residents

Cagayan de Oro City (25 February) -- "We are able to avail of many benefits such as possessing a PhilHealth ID card, free medical check-up and medicines especially when my husband was hospitalized," said Bernadette Salisayo of Brgy. Puntod, a recipient of the free medical and dental clinic and PhilHealth card distribution held at Matungao town, in the province of Lanao del Norte, on February 23, with the full cooperation of the local government unit of the town.

The provincial government of Lanao del Norte under the leadership of Gov. Mohamad Khalid Q. Dimaporo, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) medical team, Provincial Community Affairs Office, Provincial Information Office, and the Provincial Health Indigency Program team joined hands in delivering the free medical and dental clinic and distribution of PHIP cards under the Kabarangayan Sigurado Program, a Dimaporo Quibranza initiative.

In her message, the former Governor Imelda "Angging" Quibranza Dimaporo expressed her commitment in the involvement of achieving wellness, comfortable and productive way of life of the people in the province.

She also stressed that the residents are so privileged to have experienced this once in a lifetime benefit of free medical and dental consultations with free medicines.

The program was indeed beneficial to the residents of Matungao town in strengthening their healthcare services in the interior areas and they are looking forward to avail more privileges from the program.

Along with the deliveries, tents and plastic chairs distribution were also conducted with former Gov. Angging. These were distributed for the residents of the municipality to be used during barangay events and other occasions. (ARMS/PIO-LDN) [top]
