Tagalog News: Walong patakaran ng Marina sinuspende ng Marina

Manila (5 March) -- Sinuspende ng Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) ang walong pangunahing polisiya ng Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) na nabuo sa panahon ng pamumuno ni Administrator Maria Elena Bautista.

Sa pamamagitan ng isang memorandum, ipinagpaliban ni Secretary Leandro Mendoza ang implementasyon ang ilang memorandum circulars na inisyu ni Bautista noong nagdaang taon.

Kasama sa sinuspende ang mga patakaran patungkol sa protection-and-indemnity policy coverage ng mga sasakyang pandagat, bagong life-jacket requirements, accreditation ng single class society, revised schedule on fines and revenues, suspensyon ng certificate of public conveyance, bayad sa mga survivors ng sea accidents, vessel safety certificates, at taunang tonnage fee para sa mga domestic fishing vessels.

Aprubado na noong nakaraang taon ang mga nasabing policies ng Marina board kung saan kasama si Secreraty Mendoza bilang chairman.

Ayon kay Mendoza, idadaan ang mga sinuspendeng polisiya sa review, modification, at amendment ng technical working group na kinabibilangan ng mga stakeholders at pamunuan ng DOTC.

Matatandaang nitong mga nagdaang ilang linggo nagbabala ang mga ship owners na magdeklara ng maritime holiday kung hindi ititigil ang implementasyon ng mga nasabing polisiya at hindi aalisin si Bautista bilang pinuno ng Marina. (DE Doguiles/PIA 12) [top]
