PRC outreach program yields P39,943
Tabuk City, Kalinga (6 March) -- The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Baguio Regional Office recent mobile outreach program in the province served some 155 applicants, collecting P39,943 in government fees during the event.
Kalinga Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager Geronimo Donaal said that this is the first time that the PRC conducted an out-of-town service in the province.
The program provided clients 11 examinations, four registrations, 33 professional license renewal; five certification of passing, board ratings and good standing; and processed two petitions for change of status.
The PRC also released 81 Professional ID cards (PIC), duplicated two PIC, requested mailing of one PIC and verified 16 board ratings.
Donaal said that this endeavor aims to bring the government closer to the people and provide more employment facilitating services in the province.
"The coming of the PRC has given our people a chance to avail of their services without spending much for travel just to process their licenses," he said.
Meanwhile, in a letter addressed to Kalinga Governor Floydelia Diasen, PRC-CAR commended the efforts of the Provincial Government, DOLE-Kalinga, Tabuk City.
Government and the TESDA Kalinga for their "full support" in making the event successful.
Said outreach programs was conducted simultaneously with a provincial jobs fair that that generated 2,004 job vacancies made available through the 12 accredited recruitment agencies. 206 job seekers were reported to have qualified and were advised to follow-up their applications.
