Economic team, BSP conduct economic briefing in Cebu
Cebu City (22 March) -- The Economic Team and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) conducts the year-end Philippine economic Briefing today at 10 am at the Grand Ballroom, Marriott Hotel, Cebu City.
The briefing anchors on the theme, "The Philippines: Opportunities in the Global Recovery" with around 200 industry and business leaders and select key local government officials are expected to attend it.
The presentations of the economic team and the BSP highlight the economic pillars that have been the source of resilience amid the global economic environment and domestic challenges.
It will also cover the performance of their respective sectors in the past decade and the country's prospects, strategies and commitments to take advantage of the opportunities in the global recovery.
"With investors remaining cautious, there is a need to communicate to the domestic and international community the important message that the Philippines' overall macroeconomic fundamentals remain stable and the country is a viable economy to invest in," said Claro Fernandez, executive director, Investor Relations office.
The Cebu briefing is the 3rd that the team had done. The delegation has been to Dagupan and Baguio and is set to visit Davao, Laguna and Clark.
