Davao Oriental ready for May 2010 census of poulation and housing
Mati City (23 March) -- The Provincial Census Coordinating Board of the Province of Davao Oriental has convened March 22, 2010 at the PGO Conference Room, Mansion House, Capitol Hill, this city, and discussed for the successful conduct of the May 2010 Census of Population and Housing.
The said gathering that was presided by Provincial Planning officer Freddie Bendulo, in behalf of Governor Corazon N. Malanyaon, was also attended by Gil C. Nalogon of KARANCHO, Arnulfo C. Ansingco of DILG, P/Supt Nemesio de Quia, Jr. of Davao Oriental Police Provincial Office, Aurelio Saliling of PASSO, LtCol Henry Dayaoen of 67th IB and LtCol Ferdinand Budeng of 28th IB Philippine Army, Expedito Satinitigan of DepEd, Marilyn S. Yu Mon of NCIP, Alejandro Lapaz of the Rotary Club, Engr. Necitas Riogelon of the Provincial Engineering Office, Cesar M. Lanos, Sr. of the Environment and Natural Resources Office (ENRO), Daniel S. Con-el of PSWD and Felita Suplemento of PAGRO.
Provincial Statistics officer Abraham Enrico E. Gulay, Jr. informed the participants that the National Census Coordinating Board has declared May 2010 as National Census Month by virtue of NSCB Resolution No. 12, series of 2009.
PSO Gulay also bared another NSCB Resolution No. 14, series of 2009 Enjoining Government Agencies to Provide Assistance to the National Statistics Office for the Conduct of the 2010 Census of Population and Housing.
ENRO office headed by Dante M. Ganir vowed to help disseminate information, press releases and of printing tarpaulin to support the May 2010 Census.
