Tagalog News: Pinirmahan na ng Japan ang P33-M package para sa mga Muslim sa Mindanao

Koronadal City (23 March) -- Isang bagong package ng assistance para sa mga Muslim sa Mindanao na nagkakahalaga ng US$732,447 o katumbas na P33 milyong ang ibinigay ng bansang Japan.

Ito ay ayon sa pahayag ni Japanese Ambassador Makoto Katsura sa isang seremonyang dinaluhan ng mga stakeholders ng Mindanao peace process, na kinabibilangan ng Malaysian head of mission ng International Monitoring Team (IMT) na si Major General Datuk Baharon Bin Hamzah. Kabilang ang mga bansang Japan, Malaysia, Brunei at Libya sa IMT.

Mahigit walong (8) proyekto ang popondohan ng nabanggit na assistance.

Ito na ang pang-apat na tranche ng tulong mula sa bansang Japan sa ilalim ng Japan-Bangsamoro Initiatives for Reconstruction and Development (J-BIRD) sa pamamagitan ng Japan?s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).

Kabilang sa mga proyektong popondohan ang tatlong school buildings, dalawang training centers,isang crisis center para sa mga kababaihan, isang potable water supply system at isang rural health unit.

Ang bansang Japan ay kabilang din sa observer sa International Contact Group (ICG) sa usapang pangkapayapaan sa pagitan ng Pamahalaan ng Pilipinas at ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) kung saan ang Kuala Lumpur ang nagsisibing facilitator. (ac agad PIA 12) [top]
