"Agew na Pangasinan" to feature popular rock bands
Lingayen, Pangasinan (24 March) -- A concert at the Lingayen beach front dubbed "Konsyerto sa Kapitolyo" will be one of the highlights of the coming 430th founding anniversary of Pangasinan on April 5.
The concert will feature Rivermaya, the band responsible for such rock hits as Awit ng Kabataan, Ulan and 214, and Emil Sanglay's Pen-pen, a neo-ethnic band known for the hit "Pen-pen de Sarapen."
The night-long event will also showcase local bands like Balanghai, the 2008 Konsyerto sa Gulpo Champion, the two finalists of the 2009 Konsyerto sa Gulpo II, Sintas and Daddy Hack, and the Ang Banda ni ATE, a band composed of provincial government employees.
A spectacular fireworks display will follow after the anniversary message of Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr.
