San Jose town distributes Nego karts
San Jose de Buenavista, Antique (25 March) -- The Local Government Unit of San Jose de Buenavista, Antique in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Association of the Disabled Person Antique Inc. (ADP) distributed five (5) Nego Karts last March 22, 2010.
This undertaking is part of the Nego Kart or Negosyo sa Kariton project that was implemented by the mentioned organizations. It is a livelihood project that aims to help the ambulant vendors of the municipality improve their existing business by providing them with mobile carts which they can use to sell their goods in strategic places and reach their customers easily and in return increase their income.
Hon. Rony Molina, Municipal Mayor of the Municipality; Mr. Jerry Pacificador representative of DOLE; Conrado Petinglay, PESO Manager-San Jose; and Amy Dava President ADP-San Jose awarded the Nego Kart from the DOLE and the Php 3,000.00 additional revolving capital from the LGU to the beneficiaries. The first batch of beneficiaries of the program were Lorna Beliran, Catherine Agraviador, Eduardo Pamatian, Rita Patricio and Jose Alba.
