531 families in Danao get 4Ps "cash grants"

Manila (25 March) -- Some 531 families in Bohol get to be enlisted in this year's expansion program of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Central Visayas.

The 531 are among the region's estimated 8,600 poor families who will be eligible to accept conditional cash grants as the government expands its Pantawid sa Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

In Bohol, the town of Danao, poor families from barangays Remedios, Magtangtang, Poblacion, Cabatuan and Concepcion get government support in the form of subsidy and monthly conditional cash grants of P500 for health and nutrition, P300 per child for the education of three children.

Early this month, the government brought across the region a registration and re-evaluation team to pick out the additional beneficiaries, this year and the immediate benefits trickle after posting the evaluation results, sources said. (PIA) [top]
