Tagalog News: Pilipinas umaasang maabot ang economic growth target ngayong taon

Manila (31 March) -- Umaasa ang pamahalaan na mahigitan ang low-end economic growth target ngayong taon bunsod ng malakas na public at private spending, ayon sa pahayag ng isang opisyal ng National Economic Development Authority (NEDA).

Inaasahan ng pamahalaan na tataas sa 2.6% at 3.6% ang ekonomiya ng Pilipinas batay sa gross domestic product (GDP), ang indicator ng economic performance ng bansa kung saan pinapakita nito ang final goods and services na nai-produce ng bansa.

Ayon kay Acting Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Augusto B. Santos, tiwala ang pamahalaan na uunlad ang ekonomiya ng bansa sa taong ito bilang bahagi ng global rebound.

Ani Santos, pinapanatili ng pamahalaan ang macroeconomic targets nito sa pagitan ng 2.6% at 3.6% sa kabila ng pagtama ng El Niņo phenomenon at ng power crisis kung saan mapapagaan umano ng matibay na OFW remittances at ng rebound of exports ang epekto ng El Niņo sa agriculture output at power shortage sa bansa.

Base sa ulat ng pamahalaan, ang kasiraan sa agrikultura ng bansa dulot ng El Niņo phenomenon ay nagkakahalaga na ng walong bilyong piso sa buwang ito. (BDEnestois/PIA12) [top]
