Antique PNP deploys troops for election duty
San Jose, Antique (4 May) -- The Antique Police Provincial Office have deployed augmented police commissioned officers and police non-commissioned officers to secure the May 10, 2010 elections in a simple send off ceremonies as part of its nationwide campaign to implement a peaceful and orderly elections.
A total of two hundred seventeen (217) police personnel were augmented to the present workforce of the Antique PPO in pursuant to Letter Orders Numbers 44, 46, 47, 49, 46, 52, 53, 60 and 63 of the Police Regional Office 6 dated April 27, 2010.
The augmentation came from the Regional Headquarters, National Support Units, some of them were graduates of SCOUT, and others are undergoing the Public Safety Officer Basic Course (PSOBC), Junior Leadership Course (JLC), Field Training Program (FTP) and Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC).
In the ceremony, Pssupt Ruperto T Floro said that the personnel will perform their election duties starting May 3, 2010, and will end on May 13, 2010. "These additional troops is a big help to stations with depleted personnel and will surely boost the security measures in ensuring the conduct of honest, peaceful and orderly national and local elections", Floro stressed.
