Gun ban campaign nets 25 firearms, 206 ammos, 11 bladed weapons in Nueva Vizcaya

Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya (May 4) -- The implementation of the total gun ban law in the proince through the Philippine National Police (PNP) here has resulted to the confiscation of at least 25 assorted firearms, 206 bullets and 11 bladed weapons.
Police Senior Supt. Pedro Danguilan, Jr., police provincial director said the accomplishment covers the period January to April this year.
The report revealed that there were 10 firearms confiscated in January, 5 in February and 5 in March with 9 cases filed in court and 3 persons who voluntarily surrendered.
"We hope that our elections will be peaceful and orderly so that we can have a successful exercise of our freedom to vote in our communities. However, let us be vigilant always to prevent any possible incident that may disrupt the flow of elections in our province," Danguilan said. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
