Tagalog News: GDP target sa 2011 itinaas ng DBCC sa 3.8%-4.8%

Manila (5 May) -- Sa taya ng Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC) ang Gross Domestic Product (GDP) target ng bansa sa taong 2011 ay aabot sa 3.8% hanggang 4.8%.

Inihayag ni Finance Undersecretary Gil Beltran na ang deficit level sa susunod sa taon ay mas mababa sa kasalukuyang P293.2-B dahil lumalakas ang ekonomiya ng bansa at lumiliit ang pangangailangan para sa stimulus spending.

Ilang economic analysts din ang nagsabing aangat ng ekonomiya ng hanggang limang porsiyento nitong taon sa kabilang ng tumataas na deficit dahil lumalakas naman ang domestic demands bunsod ng remittances ng mga overseas foreign workers.

Matatandaang in-upgrade ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas ang growth forecast nito sa remittances sa 8% kumpara sa nauna nitong target na 6%.

Inaasahan ng DBCC na tataas ang imports ng mula 16 hanggang 18 percent samantalang aangat ang exports ng 12 hanggang 14 percent. (DE Doguiles/PIA 12) [top]
