Dipolog opens search for outstanding employers, employees
Dipolog City (6 May) -- The Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (TIPC) of Dipolog City in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has recently launched a search for outstanding employers and employees in the private sector here in this city.
Supervising Labor Employment Officer Henry Tianero, officer-in-charge of DOLE's district office here said the search for outstanding employers and employees aims to recognize the business establishments as well as the workers who have contributed to the promotion of industrial peace.
Business establishments which strongly promote the morale of their workers resulting in better outputs and quality service to customers are likely to win the search.
Besides, according to Tianero the project serves as an avenue to promote the culture of convergence, partnership and cooperation among community members for socio-economic growth of the community.
The launching activity, which was held at the city mayor's office, was attended by Mayor Evelyn T. Uy, Labor Arbiter Dan Santos of the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), Henry Tianero of DOLE, representatives from the private sector, some media practitioners and members of TIPC.
