Bacolod City (7 May) -- The 21 back-up Precinct Count Optical Scan, PCOS, machines that will serve as replacement for units that will malfunction during the elections have already been delivered to the office of the Bacolod City Comelec office today, City Elections Supervisor Ryan Castro said.
"The 307 PCOS machines that need to be deployed to Bacolod City schools have already been accomplished 100 percent as of 3:40pm of May 7. We also have here 21 PCOS spare machines," he told PIA.
The compact flashcards are vital for the proper counting of votes have also been delivered and opened in front of stakeholders.
"As far as the flashcards are concerned, they have already arrived yesterday morning and were opened in front of the different political party representatives and also from the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting, PPCRV. There are 307 in all and this is what we have been waiting for.
He said the cards will be delivered May 8 to the different precincts in the city for testing and sealing by the Board of Election Inspectors at 9:00 am. (PIA-LOL) [top]
