NVizcaya bishop appeals for calmness and patience

Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya (May 10) -- Bishop Ramon Villena of the diocese here and in Quirino province have asked voters in the province to come out and vote with patience and calmness.
"Vote calmly, relax, discern and decide better who should you vote. Vote for the good and for our bright future of every municipality and the whole province of Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino provinces," he said.
Villena also urged to maximize the right of the voters since voting is slated until 7:00 pm today.
The bishop also encouraged Novo Vizcayanos to pray for other provinces so that they will have a peaceful electoral processes.
"We have been known as peaceful province. In my 26 years in service, I have not experienced any troubles. Let us maintain our reputation where we have peaceful election," Villena in a public statement said.
According to Villena, the first poll automation in the country should be made a success since it will bring about a great hope and progress among Filipinos who are in need.
"If we are peaceful, we can decide freely, honestly and meaningfully for a credible elections," he said. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
