Davao ballots await replacement PCOS machine

by Mai Gevera

Davao City (10 May) -- Voters in one clustered precinct in Maa National High School, this city had their ballots temporarily kept inside a box because PCOS machine didn't function.

Election officials assured the voters that they will use the PCOS as soon as a technician form Smartmatic gets to fix the problem.

Voters, on the other hand, left disappointed learning that they couldn't personally insert their ballot inside the machine.

Some of them doubted that irregularities may happen.

But the Commission on Elections clarified that in cases like this, the Board of Election Inspector is allowed to insert the ballots as soon as the machine is fixed or have it inserted in another PCOS machine nearest the polling precinct. (PIA XI) [top]
