No untoward incident in delivery of PCOS machines in Lanao del Norte

by LV Gabule

Lanao del Norte (10 May) -- About 173 Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS) machines were tested, completely sealed and were all delivered in the respective clustered precincts of Iligan city at around 5pm yesterday, said Atty. Roselyn J. Smith, acting city election officer.

No untoward incidents occurred as to delivery and transport of these machines especially to far-flung areas.

Meanwhile, some four PCOS machines were found defective during the final testing yesterday, one (1) unit each from the towns of Nunungan, Magsaysay, Salvador and Tangkal, all of Lanao del Norte.

Provincial Supervisor, Atty. Carlito L. Ravelo said they are trying to replace it out of the contingency reserve machines for Nunungan and Salvador, while the remaining two (2) will have its own replacement from Ozamis City.

All other PCOS machines tested for the province were okay. (PIA Lanao del Norte) [top]
