Bukidnon gets 109 spare PCOS machines

Cagayan de Oro City (10 May) -- A total of 1,029 Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS) machines have been tested and sealed as of May 9, 2010.

Thus revealed Atty. Maria Dulce Cuevas-Banzon, Asst. Regional Election Director of the Commission on Elections in region 10, during a press briefing today, in the city.

These PCOS with a corresponding number of CF cards and batteries have been allocated to the clustered precincts in all 20 towns and two (2) cities of the province.

Lawyer Joseph Hamilton Cuevas, acting Bukidnon Provincial Election Supervisor said the province have also a contingency of 109 PCOS machines with 22 units of MBOC CCS Kit with generators.

Cuevas said the following transmission devices will be used: VSAT for the towns of Baungon, Cabanglasan, Don Carlos, Impasug-ong, Kalilangan, Kibawe, Kitaotao, Lantapan, Libona, Maramag, Quezon, San Fernando and Talakag.

VSAT/USB for Kadingilan and USB for Manolo Fortich and Sumilao and DSL modem for Malaybalay and Valencia Cities. (PIA-10) [top]
