Misamis Occidental has 39 contingency PCOS machines

Cagayan de Oro City (10 May) -- The testing and sealing of the 629 Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS) machines intended for Misamis Occidental have been completed, as of May 9, 2010.

Lawyer Maria Dulce Cuevas-Banzon, Asst. Regional Election Director of COMELEC-10 said Misamis Occidental has a corresponding number of 629 CF cards and batteries, a contingency of 39 PCOS and 17 units of MBOC/CCS kit with generator.

Banzon said the following transmission devices will be used:

VSAT for the towns of Aloran, Jimenez, Lopez Jaena, Plaridel and Tangub City.

BGAN for Baliangao, Don Victoriano, Sincaban and Tudela.

USB modem for Calamba, Concepcion and Panaon.

PLDT DSL for Clarin and Smart Broadband for Sapang Dalaga and Oroquieta City and Router Globe for Ozamis City. (PIA-10) [top]
