Tagalog News: US binati ang Pilipinas sa idinaos na May 10 elections; nangakong makikipagtulungan sa bagong administrasyon

Manila (13 May) -- Sa isang statement na ipinalabas ng US embassy sa Maynila, binati nito ang pamahalaan ng Pilipinas dahil sa matagumpay na pagdaraos ng presidential elections at umaasa rin itong magkakaroon ng maayos na transition sa Malacanang pagkatapos ng June 30, 2010.

Binati rin ng embahada ang lahat ng mamamayang Pilipino sa pag-kamit ng isa na namang milestone sa kasaysasayn ng demokrasya sa Pilipinas dala ng tagumpay ng May 10 elections na umano'y nasaksihan ng bagong dating na US ambassador sa bansa na si Ambassador Harry Thomas Jr.

Kasama ng Estados Unidos ang mga bansang Australia, Japan, Indonesia, United Kingdom, European Union at maraming iba pang bansa na nagpadala ng observers sa halalan.

Ayon sa statement, nakapag-deploy ang US embassy ng mahigit isang-daan dalawampung observers sa iba't-ibang panig ng bansa uopang umano'y maging saksi sa "Philippine democracy in action."

Umaasa rin ang US Embassy ng maayos na transition ng pamamahala sa June 30 at tiwalang magiging maayos din ang relasyon ng dalawang bansa upang maisulong ang isang common goal na magbebenipisyo sa buong Southeast Asia region at maging sa buong mundo. (ac agad/ PIA12) [top]
