Tagalog News: PSE pinuri si PGMA sa tagumpay ng automated polls

Manila (13 May) -- Pinapurihan ng Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) si Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo sa tagumpay ng isinagawang kauna-unahang automated national at local elections sa bansa.

Sa isang statement na binasa ni Beth Lacson, head ng Public and Investor Relations Section, sinabi ng PSE lubhang positibo ang market trends pagkatapos ng matagumpay na halalan noong Mayo 10.

Ayon kay PSE chairman Hans Sicat, ang mapayapang halalan ang dahilan para tumaas ang kumpiyansa ng mga mamumuhunan sa stock market ng bansa at sisiguro ng political continuity na magpapasigla ng ekonomiya. Matatandaang tumaas ng 120.87 point and PSE index noong Mayo 11, ang pinakamataas ng pag-angat sa loob ng walong buwan. Kahapon, mas tumaas pa ito ng 6.46 points. (DE Doguiles/PIA 12) [top]
