NYC invites youth to join 8th Nat'l Youth Parliament

Cebu City (17 May) -- The National Youth Commission (NYC) invites youth leaders; in-school, out-of-school, working, youth with special needs and the Sangguniang Kabataan) to participate in the 8th National Youth Parliament on November 5-8, 2010 in Butuan City to be hosted by the Caraga region.

Qualified applicants must be Filipino citizens between 15 to 30 years old as of June 30, 2010.

He/she must be able to read and write; a resident of the region for at lease six (6) months at the time of submission of his/her application.

He/she is an officer of a youth organization or youth-serving institution; of good moral character; and has not been convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude.

Applicants are required to submit eight (8) copies of their application letter, accomplished NYP application form with attached 2X2 inches photo and their proposed resolution (following the specified format).

They also need to provide one (1) original and seven (7) photocopies of their authenticated birth certificate, barangay clearance and certification from youth organization/institution being represented.

The last requirement is a self-addressed mailing envelope with twenty pesos (Php 20.00) worth of stamps affixed.

Deadline for submission of application forms is June 30, 2010.
