NVizcaya IPs thank PGMA for Dupax FMR

Tuguegarao City (27 May) -- The Kalanguya, Indigenous Peoples of Nueva Vizcaya, has expressed their gratitude to President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo for the construction the Bitnung-Balance Farm-to-Market road project in Dupax del Norte.
The NVs Indigenous People in the upland are now using the 13 kilometer road project in transporting their products going down to the market.
Bishop Ramon Villena, who spoke in behalf of the IPs, said the road project is an evidence of a true and sincere public service of the President. He further acknowledged that the President has done so much and shared so much to the people in the remote areas and the needy.
"This road is very much beneficial to our IP farmers. This will remind us of the goodness of the President who step three times in this area to ensure that this road project will be constructed well", Villena said.
The road will also trigger other economic activities particularly fruit and vegetable trading in the municipalities of Bambang, Bayombong, Aritao and Solano.
Aside from the IPs, students who are from the upland also thanked PGMA for the road project which really helps them to travel safe and shortened period of time.
Meantime, President Arroyo also thanked the Novo Vizcayanos for their support to her administration. (PIA 2) [top]
