Oro dad orders closure of bogus 'Suertres' outlets
Cagayan de Oro City (31 May) -- City Mayor Constantino "Tinnex" Jaraula recently ordered the immediate closure of all privately-owned 'Suertres' outlets which are not authorized by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
The City Mayor issued the closure order after the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office's Visayas-Mindanao Online Lottery Department brought to the city government's attention the proliferation of unauthorized 'Suertres' operators in the city.
The popularly-known poor man's game 'Suertres' is a three-digit numbers game, of which the winning results are based on the daily-drawn 'suertres' game of the PCSO.
Jaraula acted on the matter when the PCSO reported the existence of privately-owned outlets neither authorized by or connected with the charity office, but are selling 3-digit tickets or taking bets and based its winning results on PCSO's daily 'suertres' draw.
Cagayan de Oro City Police Office Acting City Police Director P/Sr. Supt. Benedicto Lopez is expected to serve Jaraula's Executive Order No. 2010 CGJ-31. (City Information Office) [top]
