Human flag to lead Independence Day rites in Bacolod City
Bacolod City (31 May) -- The much talked about human flag spearheading in Independence Day parade will again serve as the highlight of the 112th celebration in Bacolod City.
This year's human flag will also be smaller in terms of number of participants and will be composed of students and government employees.
The human flag will lead the parade that will also be participated in by private companies, civic organizations, schools, police and military and non-government institutions.
The city government's Independence Day committee decided to reduce the number of participants in the parade to allow more time for the program that will serve as highlight of the celebration.
The whole-day celebration will kick off with the simultaneous raising of the Philippine flag in the morning to be followed by a short program at the city public plaza. The parade starts at 1 p.m. (PIO/PIA/cad) [top]
