San Mariano town allocates P20 million for health facility improvement

San Mariano, Isabela (June 2) -- The Local Government Unit of San Mariano is set to improve its Rural Health Unit (RHU) facilities to accommodate its constituents of their health needs and services for their welfare.
In an effort to effectively carry out its vision to improve the health services of the said town, LGU-San Mariano has allocated a total of more than P20 million to realize the improvement of its RHU.
The amount will be used for the improvement of the RHU building and its facilities and purchase of medical equipments and medicines that is needed in the day-to-day operations.
Fifty percent of the total amount was availed through loan from a government financial institution (GFI), thirty percent was a grant and twenty percent is from the LGU's twenty percent development fund.
This town has a hospital which is province-operated, the San Mariano Community Hospital, but due to limited resources for operation it cannot accommodate all its residents in the locality including that of the town of Benito Soliven. (PIA Isabela) [top]
