PGMA back from Shanghai World Expo
Manila (11 June) -- President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo arrived early yesterday from a successful trip to Shanghai, China where she attended ceremonies marking 35 years of Philippine-Chinese diplomatic relations and the commemoration of Philippine National Day.
The President and her lean delegation that included Press Secretary Crispulo Icban, Jr. and Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto Romulo arrived via Philippine Air Lines flight PR-001 that touched down at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at around 1:55 a.m.
The Chief Executive, in an off-white coat and pant suit, smiled and waved to NAIA employees and members of the media who were on hand to welcome her back.
She was met by Executive Secretary Leandro Mendoza and Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff Gen. Delfin Bangit. (PIA) [top]
