Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya (June 17) -- At least 135 indigent families here received Philhealth identification cards during the opening of the "Rambakan" festival in this town.
The Philhealth cards was sponsored by the Alay Kapwa Multi-Purpose Cooperative(AKMPC) in Solano town through the collaboration of town officials here.
The 135 Philhealth cards is in addition to the more than 1,000 cards earlier issued to indigent families in this town.
"This undertaking was made to help our constituents specially those poor families to benefit from this government program," said mayor Aurelio Salunat.
The Philhealth card enables the recipients for a discount on their hospitalization and other benefits during their confinement in Philhealth-accredited hospitals in the province. (PIA) [top]
