ComVal observes Philippine Environment Month
Compostela Valley Province (21 June) -- The province joins the country in celebrating the Philippine Environment Month in June. A motorcade was held as a kick off activity spearheaded by the Provincial Government through the Provincial Agriculturist Office and the DENR- Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO).
Dr. Rolando Simene, Provincial Agriculturist made a formal announcement of the array of activities during the Capitol employees' convocation program on June 7 at the Capitol Lobby.
Part of the celebration was the Philippine Eagle Week Photo Exhibit (June 4-10) anchored on the theme, "Pagbabago Ng Klima Ay Labanan, Agila Ay Pangalagaan." The other line-up activities are Slogan Making Contest (June 14-28) for the identified secondary schools in the province focusing on environmental protection awareness campaign, Forum on Bio-Diversity (June 25), and Forum on RA 9003 or Solid Waste Management (June 30).
This year's theme is "Isang Mundo + Samu't-Saring Buhay = Kinabukasan." (gras) [top]
