NYC invites young leaders to Nat'l Youth Parliament

Zamboanga City (28 June) -- Applications for the 8th National Youth Parliament (NYP) is now open.
The National Youth Commission is inviting all young leaders in this city to join & participate in the upcoming NYP on November 05-08, 2010.
NYP is a venue where young voices could raise issues affecting them and propose solutions through policy development. It is an assembly of young leaders who seek to advocate, lobby and influence the policy makers in creating plans and strategies supportive of the total development of the young people

Deadline for submission of entries is on June 30, 2010. Entries can be submitted at National Youth Commission (NYC) office located at Rm. 308, 3rd flr, Jose Go Huillo Bldg., Tomas Claudio St., this city.
Qualified applicants must be Filipino citizen, between 15 to 30 years old as of June 30, 2010, able to read and write, residing in at the place for not less than six (6) months at the time of submission, must be an officer of a youth organization or youth-serving institution and of good moral character, has not been convicted of any crime involving moral turpitude.
Application requirements are the ff: 8 copies of application letter ; 8 copies of accomplished NYP application form with 2x2 pictures attached to each form; 1 Self-addressed mailing envelope, with twenty (20) pesos (Php 20.00) worth of stamps; 1 original and 7 photocopies of Birth Certificate; 1 original and 7 photocopies of Barangay Clearance; 1 original and 7 photocopies of Certification from youth organization/institution represented; 8 copies of Proposed resolution.
