San Miguel municipal building ransacked, says Caraga police

Butuan City (28 June) -- The Nutrition Building of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Miguel, Surigao del Sur located at Brgy Tina of the said municipality was ransacked by unidentified persons at around 3:00 O'clock in the morning of June 21, 2010.

Initial investigation disclosed that the suspects gained entrance at the said building by removing the air-condition unit.

Said suspects took one unit computer monitor, one unit computer mouse, one ream linen paper, one knife, a pair of scissors and 20 bottles of vitamins.

Elements of San Miguel Municipal Police Station conducted further investigation for possible identification and arrest of the suspects.

Found dead body

The dead body head was totally wrapped with a masking tape and his both hands were tied at his back with a masking tape at around 5:30 in the morning of June 22, 2010.

Police report said that a certain Anastacio Neri, of legal age, a resident of Purok-6 Silad, Brgy Mahogany, Butuan City and a Security Guard found unidentified dead body of a male person at CARBDP road, Purok-1, Brgy Riverside, Butuan City.

Investigation revealed that said victim's description: 20 t0 26 years of age; slim built; 5"3 to 5'5" in height and wearing black T-shirt and fatigue short pants.

One bottle of volatile substance (rugby) was recovered from the victim's body (hidden in his waist). No injury was noted in the victim's body, police report said.

Personnel from Crime Laboratory Office 13 led by Police Senior Inspector Mindaņa conducted Scene of the Crime Operation (SOCO) at the crime scene.

Dead body was brought to Raniel Funeral Homes and will be subjected for autopsy to determine the cause of his death.

Elements of Butuan City Police Station (BCPS) 1 are still conducting follow up investigation for possible identification of the victim and identification and arrest of the suspects.

Recovery of carnapped motorcycle

One unit Honda XRM color black, bearing plate number LH 3489, engine number XRM14EO83064 and certificate of registration number 7211672-6 was recovered by elements of Butuan City Police Station (BCPS) 2 led by SPO1 Juvy Bulanon.

The said motorcycle was on the possession of one Elesio Dahang dela Cruz, 27 years old, single and a resident of Purok-4A, Brgy 23, Holy Redeemer, Butuan City.

Police report said recovery was took place at around 9:20 in the evening of June 21, 2010 at the said place.

It was noted that the said motorcycle was reported lost at Cabadbaran City Police Station on June 21, 2010 at around 10:35 in the morning by the owner Ronnie Arciso Prollo, 19 years old and a resident of Puting Bato, Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte.

Said recovered motorcycle is now under the custody of Butuan City Police Station 2 for further investigation. (PNP 13/PIA-Caraga) [top]
