CDO Comcenter responds to 490 calls
Cagayan de Oro City (8 September) -- The Cagayan de Oro Emergency Assistance and Communication Center (COMCENTER) has responded to a total of 490 emergency and other public assistance calls last month, the majority of which comes from'traffic accident' and'other assistance' categories.
In his annual accomplishment report to City Mayor Vicente Y. Emano, COMCENTER Manager Ric E. Pabayo registered 138 cases on traffic accidents; six cases on robbery/theft/snatching/vices; four on stabbing/hacking; one on fire alarm; one on rescue; 16 on carnapping; four on kidnapping/missing; one on domestic; two on public utility trouble; 36 on nuisance public disturbance/intoxication; 72 on bank/pawnshop alarm; and 209 on other assistance, all of which were acted upon promptly.
Pabayo also reported that during the period, no calls for cases on murder/homicide/dead body, rape/attempted/molested, shooting incident, drugs, physical injury, vandalism and bombing incident/threat/recovery were received.
The COMCENTER is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to accept calls from the public who need assistance. It can be reached through landline number 166 and 14500 Mhz on VHF radio. (City Information Office) [top]
