Borongan soon to speed up business registration, investment assistance

Borongan, Eastern Samar (15 September) -- With the able assistance and tutelage of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) here, Borongan is set to usher in a business-friendly climate and propel a vibrant economic activity.
This is the projection of DTI Provincial Caretaker Eleanor Alido, which she expressed during the recent Orientation and Organization Seminar on National Economic Research Business Assistance Center (NERBAC) at the municipal hall.
Alido's projection is attributed to Mayor Fe Abunda's eagerness to uplift the financially strapped town following Supreme Court's decision that disqualified the 16 municipalities, Borongan included which applied for cityhood.
She said that the lady Mayor is open to suggestions from them as industry experts.
"I am both honored and happy that Mayor Abunda seeks and regularly consults DTI for our advice and assistance on how she could help improve the income of the town through business and industry", Alido said. "I believe this NERBAC once put in place at the municipal building, will surely ease up business processing and registration which is a sure attraction to investors", she added.
Provided under RA 7470, NERBAC is a one-stop shop, where would-be businessmen can process their permits and registration in just one setting: from the mayor's permit, DTI, BIR, SSS, PAG-IBIG and PhiliHealth requirements. (PIA-Eastern Samar) [top]
